Itinerary Overview
Discover two of Southern Vietnam’s most iconic destinations in just one day. Begin your journey at the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network that played a vital role during the Vietnam War. Explore the tunnels, learn about wartime life, and gain insight into the resilience and ingenuity of the Vietnamese people.
Continue to the Mekong Delta, a region famous for its peaceful waterways and rich local culture. Cruise along the Mekong River by boat, paddle through narrow canals shaded by coconut palms, and experience the authentic charm of the countryside. Enjoy fresh tropical fruits, sample honey tea, listen to traditional folk music, and discover how local coconut candy is made using traditional methods.
Travel Itinerary
7:30 am You will be picked up from your Ho Chi Minh accommodation in the morning and board a comfortable minivan.
Then, you will head to the Cu Chi Tunnels and hear about the Vietnamese resistance to the US Forces, watch an introductory video about how the tunnels were made and how Vietnamese people survived in the harsh conditions of wartime.
Then, spend your time exploring the system and other martial facilities like weapons factories, field hospitals and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs.
Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purposes during the war.
Afterward, special tea & cassava (guerrilla's food during the war) will be served. Have lunch at the local restaurant.
Continue to visit My Tho City. With a boat trip on the Tien River, you will be excited by the light breeze from the river and the natural beauty of beautiful islands such as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix & Tortoise along the riverside.
Cruise through the small canal by sampan, treat yourself to the beauty of the countryside & take a short cycle around the village which will certainly be an unforgettable experience when participating in the Mekong Delta tour.
Visit the Coconut Candy Workshop and enjoy seasonal delicious fruits and honey tea. Then, listen to Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by local people.
Relax in the peaceful atmosphere, before saying goodbye and returning to Ho Chi Minh City.
7:00 pm Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City in the evening and be taken back to your hotel.
