Itinerary Overview
Discover two of southern Vietnam’s most iconic sites in one full-day tour. Crawl through the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels to learn about the underground life of Viet Cong soldiers during the Vietnam War. Continue to Tay Ninh to admire the colorful Cao Dai Holy See and ride the cable car up Ba Den Mountain—known as the “Roof of the Southeast”—for breathtaking views and sacred temples.
Travel Itinerary
6:30: A car and tour guide will pick you up at the hotel (hotel in District 1 or pick up at the office)
7:45: Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels - an incredibly famous historical site. This is considered an extremely unique structure with a tunnel system over 250 km long, deep within the earth, featuring multiple layers and numerous nooks and crannies like a spider's web.
10:30: Goodbye to the Ben Dinh Tunnel Relic Site, the vehicle and guide will take you to Tay Ninh Province.
12:00 - 12:30: The car and guide will take you to visit the Cao Dai Holy See in Tay Ninh – the largest sanctuary of the Cao Dai religion, which is an incredibly famous spiritual tourism destination in Tay Ninh, attracting thousands of visitors each year.
13:30: Leaving the Cao Dai Holy See, the vehicle will take you to the restaurant for lunch and relaxation.
15:00: Conquering the "Roof of Southern Vietnam" - Ba Den Mountain
Ba Den Mountain – a mountain also known as the "Roof of the South" – is a famous pilgrimage tourism destination with an ancient spiritual architectural complex. Here, you can choose to participate in one of the two following tour programs:
OPTION 1: HANG PAGODA CABLE CAR LINE – VISITING THE BA PAGODA SPIRITUAL CULTURAL COMPLEX
The group arrives at Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area, where guests will move up the mountain using the Hang Pagoda Cable Car system. During the cable car ride, you will have the opportunity to see the vast and magnificent natural scenery from above.
After about 5 minutes on the cable car, you will arrive to visit the Linh Sơn Thánh Mẫu Temple, also known as Chùa Bà. With a history of over 300 years, Chùa Bà was built with a majestic and imposing architecture, nestled in the tranquil green mountainous landscape. Home to the 240kg statue of Ngọc Linh Sơn Thánh Mẫu, Chùa Bà is an extremely sacred spiritual tourism destination. Pilgrimage to this place is also an opportunity for visitors to light incense and pray for good fortune.
Located within the Cultural and Spiritual Complex, several caves have been repaired by monks and Buddhist followers to serve as places of worship. Here, visitors will be enchanted by the mystical atmosphere of Thanh Long Cave, Ong Ho Cave, Ba Co Cave, Ba Tuan Cave, Thien Thai Cave, Ong Ta Cave... and feel the tranquility of the mountain forest nature.
OPTION 2: VAN SON CABLE CAR – CONQUERING BA DEN MOUNTAIN – “THE ROOF OF SOUTHERN VIETNAM”
The group arrives at Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area, where guests will ascend the mountain using the Van Son Cable Car system. You will be able to witness the vast and majestic natural scenery from above.
You have set foot on the "Roof of the Southern Region." You will have the opportunity to visit and check in at the 986m milestone. From the summit of Ba Den Mountain, you will be able to gaze into the distance at the Dau Tieng Lake, admire the majestic landscape of the Ba Den mountain range and the Ma Thien Lanh valley, and fully appreciate the pristine beauty of nature here with its diverse and rich flora and fauna. Admire the tallest bronze statue of the Avalokiteshvara in Asia (the statue of Avalokiteshvara on Ba Den Mountain in Tay Ninh stands at an altitude of 986m, with a total height of 72m, cast from over 170 tons of red copper).
19:30 - 20:00: The vehicle takes you back to the center of District 1. End tour! Thanks so much.
Note: Itinerary may operate in reverse order (Tay Ninh first, then Cu Chi) depending on conditions. The content remains the same.
