Travel Itinerary
7:30 - 8:00 am Our car & tour guide will pick you up from your hotel area in the central city.
Start your tour to visit:
- Independence Palace: – On April 30th, 1975, what the Vietnamese refer to as the 'American War' officially ended when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was, at the time, the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam 45 minutes.
- War Remnants Museum, formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, is a poignant display of the futility of war. Some of the black-and-white photography in the 'Requiem' exhibit is particularly touching. It is dedicated to both foreign and Vietnamese journalists and photographers who perished during the conflict.
- Notre Dame Cathedral and Post Office – were built around 1877 and 1883 respectively. These two iconic buildings are fine examples of French colonial architecture. Remarkably every stone used in the building of the Notre Dame Cathedral was shipped from France to Vietnam. The Old Post Office is also the country's largest post office.
Have lunch at a restaurant. After lunch, we will visit:
- Binh Tay Market – is a Chinese market living in Cho Lon built in 1928.
- Thien Hau Pagoda – This is the oldest Chinese place of worship in Saigon and contains many special
spiritual stories.
Depending on the day, the itinerary will include a visit to either:
- Opt1: Weapon Keeping Hidden House - The secret bunker containing nearly 3 tons of weapons of the Saigon Rangers in house No. 287/70, which served the purpose of attacking the Tet Independence Palace in 1968, has become a historical relic.
- Opt2: Bach Dang Wharf + Waterbus - Explore Bach Dang Wharf, a historic riverside landmark of Saigon. Enjoy a relaxing Waterbus ride on the Saigon River and admire the city’s skyline from a unique perspective.
After that, a car will take you back to hotel. Finish your Ho Chi Minh city tour. See you again!
