Itinerary Overview
Vung Tau is located 125 kilometers Southeast of Ho Chi Minh City. Known for its beautiful beaches, stunning natural landscapes, and rich history, Vung Tau offers visitors a diverse range of experiences. Vung Tau was a swamp that European trading ships visited regularly. With 15 kilometers of coastline, Vung Tau is endowed with many sandy beaches such as Bai Truoc (Front beach), Bai Sau (Back beach), Bai Dua (Dua beach)... Vung Tau also has many famous sightseeing spots such as the great Jesus Christ statue, and the White Palace...
Travel Itinerary
07:00 – Pick up from your hotel and depart for Vung Tau. Enjoy a comfortable drive through the countryside with scenic views along the way.
09:00 – Arrive at Thuy Van Beach (Back Beach). Relax on the 10km stretch of golden sand, take a swim in the gentle waves, or simply enjoy the fresh sea breeze.
12:00 – Lunch at a local restaurant, featuring authentic Vietnamese seafood and regional specialties.
Afternoon sightseeing:
- Jesus Christ Statue – Climb up to one of the tallest statues of Christ in Asia for panoramic views of the coastline.
- Thang Tam (Whale) Temple – A sacred site honoring the Whale God, protector of local fishermen.
- Bach Dinh (White Palace / Villa Blanche) – A colonial-era mansion with French architecture, once a summer retreat for French governors.
- Cape Nghinh Phong – A picturesque cape offering breathtaking sea views and fresh ocean winds.
16:00 – Short break before departure.
17:00 – Return to Ho Chi Minh City, ending the tour.
