Visitors can easily fall in love with the mountains, lakes and flower fields here that bloom in each season. Around October to early November in Japan is the time of Kochia grass. Kochia grass is also known as color-changing grass or burning grass with the property of changing color from fresh green in summer to bright red in autumn. The Kochia grass carpets spread out at the foot of Mount Fuji create an extremely brilliant and impressive autumn picture.
- Maple Leaf Tunnel – Momiji Kairo: (for groups from late November, depending on the color of the leaves) Located on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchiko, along the old river. It is essentially a long riverside walking path, where maple trees, or “momiji” in Japanese, are planted along both sides of the path.
