Travel Itinerary

Day 1 : HANOI – BAC HA (L/D)
Around 07:00, our private guide and driver will meet us at a meeting point and depart for Bac Ha, a charming mountain town in Lao Cai Province (about 6hrs driving).
Upon arrival, we will check in at a local homestay (or hotel) and enjoy lunch featuring local specialties.
Afternoon we will begin a light trek through the countryside, starting from Ban Pho Village. Passing Na Kim and plum orchards, pear gardens, we will go between peaceful rural landscapes for about 5–7 km.
Dinner and overnight in Bac Ha.
Day 2 : BAC HA – BAN LIEN (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the homestay.
This morning, we will discover Bac Ha, so called "the White Plateau" for its breathtaking plum blossoms that bloom each spring. Rich in history and culture, Bac Ha is also home to the legacy of the Hmong King and remnants of French colonial architecture. From the plum gardens, go on to Bac Ha flower garden, then to Hoang A Tuong Palace, a unique early 20th-century mansion that blends French colonial and traditional ethnic architecture. Once the residence of the former Hmong King Hoang A Tuong, the palace now remains an iconic landmark in Lao Cai Province.
At the noon time, we will enjoy traditional dishes at a local homestay.
Afternoon, our trip will continue to Ngai Thau, one of the most scenic viewpoints in the area. We may either enjoy a light trek or experience a local motorbike to the summit, where breathtaking mountain views await.
After spending some time at the top, we will travel onward to Ban Lien Village, located about 28 km from Bac Ha Town.
Leave our luggage at our stilt house and begin exploring the village with our local host. We will walking along the trails through rice fields and gardens, visit local tea hills, learn about tea harvesting, and gossip with the friendly Tay community.
We can also go fishing in the stream, joining a football game, learning how to prepare traditional cakes or collect bamboo shoots (activities set up to local weather and conditions).
Dinner and overnight in Ban Lien. The host can provide you a green tea bath if you like to enjoy this local habit.

- Payment should be made at least 2 days in advance to confirm the service booking. A deposit may be required for long tours, deluxe services, rare-language guides.

- Tours and services can be adjusted twice without surcharge before the starting day.

Day 3 : BAN LIEN TREKKING – BAC HA – HANOI (B, L)

Breakfast at the homestay. Today, we have two options:

Around 08:00, we will begin a trekking route from the homestay through forests and mountain trails, visiting villages inhabited by the Dao and Hmong communities in Tan Tien Commune.

Around 10:30, we returned to Bac Ha Market by car.

We will travel directly back to Bac Ha Market by car (1 hour driving).

Bac Ha Market is the largest and most colorful ethnic market in the region, bringing together people from various ethnic groups like Tay, Nung, Hmong, Dao, La Chi, Phu La, and Kinh communities.

The market is divided into several sections, from livestock and poultry to local produce, traditional medicines, spices, handicrafts, and other regional products. Here we can observe local trading traditions or get unique specialties from the mountains.

Our guide will take us to local vendors for tasty local dishes.

After lunch, we will visit a local family in Ban Pho Village that produces the region's famous corn wine (corn and yeast). Here we can learn about the traditional distillation process and discover the secret of the special Hong My yeast, used to create its distinctive aroma.

Afternoon, our guide and driver will take us back to Hanoi (about 6 hrs driving).
