You will be picked up from Kampala or Entebbe by your professional driver-guide and begin your scenic journey to Kibale Forest National Park, famously known as the primate capital of the world. The drive takes you through lush countryside, tea plantations, and traditional villages, offering a glimpse into rural Uganda. You will have a stopover for lunch en route before continuing to Kibale. Upon arrival, check in, relax, and enjoy the tranquil forest atmosphere. Accommodation: Turaco Treetop Meal plan: Full board
After an early breakfast, proceed to Kibale headquarters for a briefing before heading into the forest for chimpanzee trekking. This exciting activity allows you to track and observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat, along with other primates and bird species. After the trek, return for lunch and then transfer to the Kasenyi plains in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy scenic views along the way as you head to your lodge.

After breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and journey south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector, known for its famous tree-climbing lions (optional en route). Continue through the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa,” with breathtaking landscapes and terraced hillsides. Arrive in the Ruhija sector of Bwindi in the afternoon. Check in, relax, and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your gorilla trekking experience. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will hike through dense forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once located, you will spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After returning to the lodge and refreshing, you will enjoy a Batwa cultural experience, learning about the traditional forest lifestyle of the indigenous Batwa people.

After an early breakfast, you will begin your journey back to Entebbe or Kampala. This is a long but scenic drive of approximately 10 hours, passing through rolling hills, local markets, and rural communities. You will have stopovers for lunch and refreshments along the way, including a chance to stretch and take photos. Upon arrival in Entebbe or Kampala, you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your memorable Uganda safari experience.
