Your days will be spent trekking amid the mist-shrouded rainforest of the famed gorilla habitat, quietly observing these gentle giants in their natural world, and discovering the rich biodiversity that makes Uganda a global conservation treasure. Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a Nandi Adventures representative and transferred to your boutique hotel. Relax in the peaceful garden, take a swim, or enjoy a delicious meal nearby. This is the perfect start to your Ugandan journey—rest and recharge for the adventure ahead.
After breakfast, journey west toward Kibale National Park, known as the Primate Capital of Africa. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run conservation area teeming with life—from colorful birds like the Great Blue Turaco to playful monkeys. Your visit directly supports local eco-tourism and conservation initiatives.
Set out early to track wild chimpanzees in the lush tropical forest of Kibale. Along the way, spot other primates such as red colobus and L’Hoest’s monkeys, as well as a variety of forest birds. In the afternoon, choose an optional visit to a nearby village or organic farm to experience authentic Ugandan rural life.
After breakfast, drive south toward Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most famous wildlife national park. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, where elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and hundreds of bird species gather along the shores—an unforgettable wildlife spectacle.
Embark on a morning game drive across Queen Elizabeth National Park’s savannas and crater lakes. Watch for lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and an astonishing range of birdlife. Later, continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas.
Today’s the highlight of your safari—gorilla trekking in the mist-covered highlands of Bwindi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hike through ancient rainforest with expert rangers until you find a gorilla family in their natural habitat. Spending time with these gentle giants is a deeply moving, once-in-a-lifetime experience that also supports vital conservation efforts.
After breakfast, begin your return journey through Uganda’s rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional villages. Arrive in Entebbe by evening for your onward flight or overnight stay—carrying unforgettable memories of Uganda’s people, wildlife, and wild beauty.
You have the option of a domestic flight at an additional cost. This is on request and at time of booking.
Book and pay for your gorilla trekking permit early. We advise payment 6 months plus especially if you plan to travel in the high season June - September.
