This 10-day Uganda safari offers an immersive journey through the country’s most iconic primate and wildlife destinations. Beginning in Entebbe, the trip combines scenic domestic flights with guided road transfers to maximize comfort and experience. You will explore the lush rainforest of Kibale Forest National Park, home to chimpanzees and rich biodiversity, before heading to Queen Elizabeth National Park for classic game drives and a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. The adventure continues to the world-renowned Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will encounter endangered mountain gorillas through two unforgettable treks. Cultural interaction with the Batwa community adds depth to the experience. This itinerary blends primate tracking, wildlife viewing, scenic landscapes, and cultural encounters, offering a well-balanced and memorable Ugandan safari adventure.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to Jet Villas Eco Lodge for your overnight stay. Located in a green environment near Lake Victoria, the lodge offers a relaxing atmosphere after your international flight. Depending on your arrival time, you may unwind at the lodge, enjoy the gardens, or take an optional short excursion to nearby attractions such as the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or the shores of Lake Victoria. Dinner will be served at the lodge, offering a selection of local and international dishes. Your guide will brief you about the upcoming safari, ensuring you are well prepared for the adventure ahead. This first day is designed for relaxation, recovery, and orientation as you begin your unforgettable Uganda safari experience.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport for your scheduled domestic flight to Kasese. Enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Uganda’s landscapes before landing. Upon arrival, you will meet your driver-guide and proceed to Kibale Forest National Park, arriving at Kibale Tourist Safari Lodge. The drive passes through scenic tea plantations, crater lakes, and local villages. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy lunch at the lodge. The afternoon is free for relaxation, allowing you to enjoy the tranquil forest environment, take nature walks around the lodge, or simply prepare for the next day’s chimpanzee trekking experience. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking. Enter the forest of Kibale Forest National Park with experienced guides in search of habituated chimpanzee families. The trek can take a few hours depending on their location, but along the way, you may encounter other primates such as red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, and various bird species. Once the chimpanzees are found, spend one hour observing their behavior, communication, and social interactions. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you may opt for a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for birding and cultural encounters. Dinner and overnight stay at Kibale Tourist Safari Lodge.

After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying a scenic drive that takes approximately four hours. The journey offers stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains, local homesteads, and rolling landscapes. Arrive at Acacia Wilderness Camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you may embark on an optional game drive to begin spotting wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes. The camp provides an authentic bush experience with comfortable tents set in a natural environment. . Overnight stay at the camp.

Start your day with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where predators such as lions and leopards are often spotted alongside elephants, Uganda kobs, and warthogs. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers one of the best wildlife viewing experiences in Uganda, with large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of bird species along the shores. Return to Acacia Wilderness Camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, visit Lake Katwe to explore the traditional salt mining activities carried out by local communities. Learn about the fascinating process of salt extraction and its importance to the local economy. Continue to Kasenyi Landing Site, a lively fishing village where you can observe daily life and interact with locals. Return to the camp for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure or enjoy an optional short game drive. This day provides a cultural and community-based perspective of the park. Dinner and overnight stay at Acacia Wilderness Camp.

After breakfast, transfer to Kasese Airstrip for your domestic flight to Bwindi. Upon arrival (Kihihi or Kisoro), transfer to your lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Depending on your sector, you will stay at Lodge. Enjoy lunch and relax while taking in the breathtaking forest views. Prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for briefing before starting your gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Accompanied by experienced rangers, hike through dense forest terrain in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can be physically demanding but incredibly rewarding. Once the gorillas are located, spend one hour observing their behavior in their natural habitat. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Today offers a second gorilla trekking experience or an optional cultural visit with the Batwa community. The Batwa experience provides insight into the traditional forest lifestyle of the indigenous people who once lived in the forest. Learn about their hunting techniques, medicinal plants, and cultural practices. Return to your lodge for relaxation and your final evening in Bwindi. Dinner and overnight stay at your selected lodge.
