Enjoy a scenic flight from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park where you will experience thrilling game drives across vast untouched wilderness filled with elephants, lions, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife. Explore the breathtaking landscapes of Ruaha National Park, one of Tanzania’s largest national parks and home to impressive predator populations, giant baobab trees, and extraordinary wildlife diversity. Continue to Mikumi National Park, often referred to as Tanzania’s hidden safari gem, where open savannah plains provide excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Throughout the journey, you will enjoy comfortable accommodations, spectacular African sunsets, scenic domestic flights, authentic safari experiences, and a memorable return journey aboard Tanzania’s modern Standard Gauge Railway from Morogoro to Dar es Salaam.
Travel Itinerary
Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional representative who will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to your hotel in Dar es Salaam. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the hotel and recover from your international journey while enjoying the warm coastal atmosphere of Tanzania’s largest city. You will receive a safari briefing outlining your upcoming Southern Tanzania adventure before enjoying dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Dar es Salaam.
After breakfast, you will transfer to the domestic airport for your scheduled scenic flight to Nyerere National Park, Africa’s largest protected wildlife reserve and one of Tanzania’s most untouched safari destinations. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your safari guide and immediately begin an exciting guided game drive through the vast wilderness landscapes of the park. Nyerere National Park is famous for its large populations of elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and rare African wild dogs. The park’s rivers, lakes, and open savannah create exceptional opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. Later in the afternoon, you will proceed to your safari lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
After an early breakfast, you will enjoy another guided morning game drive in Nyerere National Park, exploring different wildlife areas while searching for predators, elephants, giraffes, and numerous other species active during the cooler hours of the day. The untouched wilderness and low tourist density provide an authentic and exclusive safari experience unlike anywhere else in Africa. Later, you will transfer to the airstrip for your scenic domestic flight to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s largest national park known for its dramatic landscapes and exceptional predator sightings. Upon arrival, you will transfer to your safari lodge where you will enjoy dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the spectacular wilderness of Ruaha
