Travel Itinerary
Your Tanzanian adventure begins the moment you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). You will be warmly welcomed by your private safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha or its peaceful outskirts. The pace of the day remains intentionally relaxed. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy the lodge’s tropical grounds, recover from your flight, and sit down for a comprehensive safari briefing outlining the thrilling journey ahead.
- Activity: Airport Transfer & Safari Briefing.
- Overnight: Arusha (Accommodation to be confirmed).
- Meal Plan: Dinner (depending on arrival time)
After breakfast, the safari begins in earnest with a scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet remarkably diverse ecosystem nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley. The park’s dense groundwater forest provides cool shade for troops of baboons and blue monkeys, while the open floodplains attract buffalo, giraffes, and elephants. Along the alkaline lake’s edge, thousands of flamingos and pelicans often gather in striking pink ribbons.
- Key Wildlife: Elephants, Hippos, Flamingos, and (with luck) Tree-climbing Lions.
- Overnight: Karatu / Rift Valley Escarpment.
- Meal Plan: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, Dinner.
