Day 1 : Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Welcome to the Gateway of Mount Kilimanjaro
Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where a friendly representative from True Africa Escape will warmly welcome you to Tanzania.

After clearing immigration and collecting your luggage, you will be transferred by private vehicle to your comfortable hotel in Moshi, the charming town located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.

During the drive, if weather conditions are clear, you may catch your first breathtaking view of the snow-capped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, offering an exciting glimpse of the challenge that awaits. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will complete the check-in process and have time to relax after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy the hotel's peaceful surroundings, take a short walk around the town, or simply rest and recover from your flight. This day is intentionally kept relaxed to allow your body to recover from travel and prepare mentally and physically for the climb ahead. Later in the afternoon or evening, you will attend a comprehensive pre-climb briefing led by your professional mountain guide. During this important session, your guide will explain the complete climbing itinerary, discuss safety procedures, provide valuable information about altitude sickness, answer your questions, and explain what to expect during each stage of the expedition. The guide will also perform a thorough inspection of your climbing equipment to ensure you have all the necessary gear for a safe and comfortable ascent. If any essential equipment is missing, quality rental gear can be arranged before departure. You will also meet some of the experienced mountain crew who will accompany you throughout your journey, including assistant guides, porters, and the mountain cook. Their experience, dedication, and encouragement will play a vital role in helping you achieve your goal of reaching Uhuru Peak safely. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner prepared at the hotel while your guide provides final reminders about hydration, packing your daypack, and preparing for an early departure the following morning. This is an excellent opportunity to relax, get to know your fellow climbers if you are joining a group, and begin building excitement for the adventure ahead. A good night's sleep is essential before starting the climb. The following morning, your journey to Africa's highest mountain officially begins as you depart for Marangu Gate, the starting point of your unforgettable expedition to the Roof of Africa. Accommodation: Hotel in Moshi Meals Included: Dinner (depending on arrival time) Elevation: Approximately 890 metres (2,920 feet) Activities: Airport pickup, hotel check-in, relaxation, equipment inspection, climbing briefing, and preparation for the expedition.

What's Not Included While this package includes all essential services required for a safe and successful Mount Kilimanjaro climb, the following items and expenses are not included in the package price and remain the responsibility of the client.
International & Domestic Flights - International airfare to and from Tanzania. - Domestic flights within Tanzania, unless specifically stated in your itinerary. Visa Fees - Tanzania tourist visa fees. -
Any transit visa or additional immigration charges required during your journey.
Travel & Medical Insurance Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and must include: - High-altitude trekking up to 6,000 metres. - Emergency medical treatment. - Emergency evacuation and rescue. - Trip cancellation or interruption. - Personal accident coverage. - Loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings.
Personal Climbing Equipment Personal trekking gear is not included, such as: - Hiking boots. - Waterproof jacket and trousers. - Thermal clothing. - Sleeping bag (unless stated otherwise). - Trekking poles. - Gloves, hats, gaiters, and other personal clothing. - Headlamp and spare batteries. - Daypack and duffel bag. Equipment rental can be arranged at an additional cost upon request.
Tips & Gratuities Tips for mountain guides, assistant guides, cooks, and porters are not included. Tipping is voluntary but strongly encouraged as it forms an important part of the mountain crew's income. A recommended tipping guide is provided in this package. Personal Expenses Any personal purchases or optional expenses, including: - Souvenirs and gifts. - Snacks not provided by the mountain crew. - Alcoholic beverages. - Soft drinks and bottled beverages not included in meals. - Laundry services. - Telephone calls. - Internet or Wi-Fi charges. - Charging electronic devices where available.
Additional Hotel Nights

Medical Expenses Medical treatment, hospital costs, prescription medications, and any expenses arising from illness or injury during the trip that are not covered by your travel insurance.
Emergency Evacuation Beyond Park Services While mandatory park rescue fees are included, any additional evacuation by helicopter, specialized medical transport, or extended medical care not covered by the park authorities or your insurance will be at the client's expense.
