Travel Itinerary
Begin your day with a scenic transfer to Akagera national park for a sunset boat tour and overnight inside the park, before entering the park, experience culture village activities that provide an insight on Rwandan culture and village lifestyle while interacting with locals. Continue to the Park and enjoy a sunset boat tour on lake Ihema that typically lasts for an hour, offering an opportunity to spot animals such as crocodiles, hippos and a variety of bird species. Accommodation: Mantis Akagera Game lodge.
After an early breakfast, embark on a full day Game drive exploring the park’s diverse landscapes and spotting different animals such as the big 5, different types of antelopes, bird species and amphibians. After the safari, overnight stay. Accommodation: Karenge Bush Camp or similar
Day 3 starts with a transfer to Volcanoes National Park, visit the Ellen DeGeneres campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, where you will learn about the dedicated efforts toward gorilla conservation, before going to your accommodation for an overnight stay. Sambora Kinigi or similar
