Travel Itinerary
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by the Guru Treks representative and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. After check-in, you can rest and recover from your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the nearby streets of Thamel or relax at the hotel. In the evening, your trekking team will provide an introduction to the Tsho Rolpa Lake Trek, including the route, daily walking schedule, altitude considerations, and preparations required for the journey into the Rolwaling Valley. Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Today combines cultural exploration with final preparation for your Tsho Rolpa Lake Trek. After breakfast, visit some of the Kathmandu Valley's significant cultural and religious landmarks, including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath and Patan Durbar Square, depending on the sightseeing schedule. These heritage sites provide an introduction to Nepal's rich Hindu and Buddhist traditions before you head into the Himalayan region. Later, return to the hotel, meet your trekking guide, check your equipment, and prepare your bags for the journey. Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu.
The adventure begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu toward the Rolwaling Valley. The road follows the route through Khadichaur, Dolakha and Singati before continuing toward Gongar Khola. From the roadhead, the trek begins with a crossing over a suspension bridge and a gradual ascent through forested mountain terrain toward Simigaun. The trail provides the first real experience of the remote Himalayan environment, with views of surrounding hills, rivers and traditional settlements. Simigaun is a beautiful mountain village situated at approximately 2,019 meters and is an important gateway to the Rolwaling Valley. Overnight at a local teahouse.
