• Day 1 : Fly to Paro – Transfer to Thimphu (2,350m)

  
  

  Today you will take a scenic flight to Paro International Airport, one of the most spectacular mountain flights in the world. On a clear day, you may enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayan range, including peaks of the Everest region, along with dramatic landscapes as the aircraft flies through the Bhutanese foothills before landing at the small and challenging Paro airstrip.

  Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by your Bhutanese guide and transferred to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, located at an altitude of 2,350 meters.

  In the afternoon, begin sightseeing in Thimphu, exploring its rich cultural and spiritual heritage. Visit important landmarks such as the Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Lhakhang, Zangthopelri Lhakhang, and the Drubthob Nunnery. You will also visit the Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s national animal.

  Continue your cultural exploration with stops at the Handmade Paper Factory, School of Arts and Crafts (where students learn traditional Bhutanese arts and crafts), Gold and Silversmith workshops, and local craft centers showcasing textiles, paintings, thangka art, masks, and jewelry.

  Finally, visit the impressive Tashichho Dzong, the administrative and monastic center of Bhutan’s government and the king’s official building.

  Overnight stay in Thimphu.

• Day 2 : Full-Day Sightseeing in Thimphu (2,350m)

  Today is a full day of cultural exploration in Thimphu, the charming capital city of Bhutan, set in a peaceful Himalayan valley at 2,350 meters. The city beautifully blends tradition and modern Bhutanese life, offering insight into the country’s unique culture and “Gross National Happiness” philosophy.

  Begin the day with visits to important spiritual landmarks such as the National Memorial Chorten, a sacred stupa where locals gather for daily prayers, followed by Changangkha Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Thimphu offering panoramic valley views. Continue to Zangthopelri Lhakhang and the Drubthob Nunnery, where you can observe peaceful monastic life and Buddhist rituals.

  Later, visit the Takin Preserve to see Bhutan’s national animal, followed by the Traditional Arts and Crafts School, where students learn the 13 traditional Bhutanese arts (Zo Rig Chusum). Here, you can observe skills such as painting, carving, weaving, and sculpture.

  Continue to the Handmade Paper Factory, Gold and Silversmith workshops, and local craft emporiums, where you can see artisans producing textiles, thangka paintings, masks, and traditional jewelry.

  In the afternoon, visit the impressive Tashichho Dzong, the grand fortress-monastery that serves as the seat of Bhutan’s government and monastic body.

  After a full day of sightseeing and cultural experiences, return to your hotel in Thimphu for an overnight stay.
