Itinerary Overview
The adventure begins on Day 1 with your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport and a briefing on the mystical heritage of the Himalayas. Day 2 is dedicated to the royal history of the valley, featuring the Kathmandu Durbar Square—home of the Living Goddess—the hilltop "Monkey Temple" of Swayambhunath, and the artistically renowned city of Patan. On Day 3, the focus shifts to deep spirituality and medieval architecture with visits to the holy Hindu shrine of Pashupatinath, the massive Boudhanath Stupa, and the beautifully preserved "City of Devotees," Bhaktapur. The tour concludes on Day 4 with a morning of leisure for last-minute exploration or souvenir shopping before your final airport transfer.

Welcome to Nepal! On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from our office will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel and help you check-in. You will then be briefed about your daily activities.
NEPAL, officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal is a mystical country nestled in the folds of the magnificent Himalaya Mountain Ranges. The people of Nepal can always be seen to be smiling. Nepal is a deeply religious country, as you will see in their temples, monasteries and buildings. The fertile, mountain sheltered Kathmandu Valley is the historic heart of Nepal, where the Himalaya's most sophisticated kingdoms rose and fell and where Nepali art and culture were developed and refined. In many ways the Kathmandu Valley is Nepal.
After breakfast proceed to visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath and Kritipur.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: Listed as one of the eight Cultural World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Kathmandu Durbar Square is cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards and streets that date back to the 12th and 18th centuries. The visit of Durbar Square includes the temple of Living Goddesses, who acknowledges the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence, the Hanuman Dhoka Royal Palace, the historic seat of the Royalty; the magnificent Taleju Temple towering 40 meters. The capital takes its name from the giant pagoda of Kasthamandap, which is said to have been built of a single tree. The Kasthamandap has been destroyed in recent massive earthquake and will take some time to rebuild it. It has been the main focal point of the city’s social, religious and political from the Malla kings.
Swayambhunath: Also known as “ Monkey Temple” is located at small hill top approximately 4 kms/ 2.5 miles, this Buddhist Stupa is said to be 2000 years old. The Stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. This hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagoda Temples.
Patan Durbar Square: Located about 5 km south of Kathmandu in the Kathmandu Valley, on the southern side of the Bagmati River, Patan is one of 3 royal cities in the valley. A destination for connoisseurs of fine arts, Patan is filled with wood and stone carvings, metal statues, ornate architecture, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu Temples, and over 1200 monuments. The city of Patan is believed to have been built in the third century B.C. by the Kirat Dynasty. It was expanded by Lichhavis in the 6th century A.D. and again by the Mallas in medieval period. Durbar Square, like its counterpart in Kathmandu, is an enchanting mélange of palace buildings, artistic courtyards and graceful pagoda temples. Listed as a World Heritage Site, the former royal palace complex is the center of Patan’s religious and social life, and houses a museum containing an array of bronze statues and religious objects.
Terms of Service
Tour Schedule: Guided sightseeing operates according to the 4-day itinerary. Please note that several historical structures, such as the Kasthamandap, may be under various stages of reconstruction following the 2015 earthquake.
Pick-up: Arrival and departure transfers are provided at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). Daily tours include hotel pick-up and drop-off services by an official representative.
Duration: This is a 4-day cultural program centered within the Kathmandu Valley. Itinerary changes or extensions to other regions (like Pokhara or Everest) may incur extra charges.
Note: Entry to the inner sanctum of Pashupatinath Temple is strictly reserved for Hindus; however, tourists can clearly view the temple and activities from the opposite riverbank.
Important: Entrance fees for Durbar Squares and religious sites are required and often collected at checkpoints. A modest dress code is required; please remove hats and shoes before entering temples or stupas.
