Your Ruby Valley Trek 9N/10D begins with your arrival in Kathmandu, where a GuruTreks representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. After checking in, you can take time to rest after your journey or explore the nearby streets of Kathmandu if your arrival schedule allows. The day is also used for final trekking preparations and a briefing about the route, safety, packing, and general trekking arrangements. Since this is an arrival day, there is no trekking involved, allowing you to relax before heading into the mountains.

Maximum Altitude: 1,400 mAfter an early breakfast, you begin the scenic road journey from Kathmandu toward Gatlang, traveling through the Trishuli Valley and the Himalayan foothills. The route passes through riverside settlements, terraced hillsides, forests, and mountain villages before reaching Syabrubesi. From Syabrubesi, the journey continues toward Gatlang, a traditional Tamang settlement and an important gateway to the Ruby Valley region. Although the drive is long, the changing scenery makes it an interesting part of the adventure, gradually taking you away from the busy Kathmandu Valley and into a quieter mountain environment. After arriving in Gatlang, you can explore the village and experience the traditional local lifestyle before settling in for the night.
