Explore the cultural and scenic treasures of Sri Lanka on this 5-day journey through its historic sites, hill country, and vibrant cities. Visit the fascinating Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, home to rescued elephants, and a traditional spice garden in Matale to learn about local herbs and spices. Climb the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and 5th-century royal citadel built by King Kashyapa.
Travel through the scenic hill country to Kandy, the last kingdom of Sri Lanka, visiting the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic and enjoying the serene Kandy Lake. Witness traditional Sri Lankan cultural dances, including fire dancing, and explore the lush Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya. Continue to Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England,” with its tea plantations, tea factory visits, and stunning waterfalls. Conclude the journey in Colombo with a sightseeing tour covering religious sites, colonial landmarks, shopping areas, and iconic public spaces.
This 5-day program immerses travelers in both the historical and natural wonders of Sri Lanka. Day 1 begins with arrival in Negombo and transfer to the hotel. Day 2 covers the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawala, a spice garden, and the spectacular Dambulla Rock Temple. Day 3 includes climbing the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and exploring Kandy with its sacred temples and cultural performances. Day 4 focuses on the scenic journey through tea plantations to Nuwara Eliya with visits to tea factories and gardens. Day 5 concludes with travel to Colombo, sightseeing of its historic and modern landmarks, and transfer to the airport for departure.
Welcome on arrival by our representative. Transfer to Negombo. Check in at the hotel. Relax during the rest of the day. Dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Negombo.
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for Dambulla. En route proceed to visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala. Visit a spice garden to see different spices and how some of these spices are grown. Lunch at restaurant. Visit Dambulla Rock Temple built by King Walagambahu. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Cultural Triangle Area.
Breakfast at the hotel. Climb the 5th century Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). Proceed to Kandy. Lunch at restaurant. This was the last kingdom of Sri Lanka and the hill capital. Kandy is also the venue for Annual Perahera, a pageant with over 150 elephants, dance troops, etc., annually parading the city for 10 consecutive days. Visit the Temple of The Tooth Relic, Upper Lake, Kandy Market Area, University Area & the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. In the evening witness a cultural dance show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dances including fire dancing. Dinner and stay at hotel.
Tour Schedule: Guided sightseeing tours and excursions operate according to the 5-day itinerary, including half-day city tours and full-day excursions in the Cultural Triangle and Hill Country.
Pick-up: Arrival and departure transfers are provided from Negombo and Colombo airports. Daily tours include hotel pick-ups in Negombo, Dambulla, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya.

Make a sightseeing tour of Colombo. Visit a Buddhist Temple, a Hindu Temple, Pettah, Cinnamon Gardens, The former British Administrative Center and Military Garrison, Sea Street, Goldsmiths Quarters in the heart of Pettah, remaining Colonial area, Fort, Galle Face Green, Independence Square, BMICH, replica of the tallest standing Buddha statue at Aukana, etc. Discover the city & explore the shopping malls, such as House of Fashion, Odel, etc. After dinner at a restaurant, transfer to the airport for onward flight.
