Itinerary Overview
This 4 days Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru safari is a perfectly balanced adventure that combines Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations at an affordable cost, based on double sharing accommodation. You will travel in a shared 4x4 Land Cruiser jeep with a maximum of 7 travelers, offering excellent game viewing through a guaranteed window seat.
The journey begins from Nairobi, where you are warmly received by the professional team from Jossec Safaris, who will brief you before departure. The safari takes you deep into the legendary Maasai Mara, home to the Big Five and dramatic savannah landscapes, before heading to Lake Nakuru, famous for its rhinos and birdlife.
Accommodation is in carefully selected lodges in Maasai Mara and in Nakuru—offering comfort, great hospitality, and proximity to the parks.
Travel Itinerary
You will be picked up early morning from your hotel in Nairobi, where the Jossec Safaris team will welcome you and conduct a short briefing about your safari. You then depart in a shared 4x4 Land Cruiser, driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a brief stopover at a viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views.
Continuing through Narok town, you arrive at Maasai Mara in time for lunch at Jambo Mara Camp. After a short rest, you head out for your first thrilling afternoon game drive.
The Maasai Mara is renowned for its rich wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and cheetahs. As the sun sets over the savannah, you return to camp for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast, you set out for a full day game drive with packed lunch, exploring deeper into the vast plains of Maasai Mara.
This is the highlight of your safari, offering incredible chances to spot the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—as well as large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes. If traveling during the migration season, you may witness the dramatic wildebeest river crossings.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild before continuing with game viewing until late afternoon. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
