Travel Itinerary
our safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 7:00 AM. After a short safari briefing, depart Nairobi and drive north through Kenya's scenic central highlands, passing coffee plantations, tea estates, and the equator at Nanyuki before continuing into the rugged landscapes of Samburu County.
Arrive at Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch at your safari lodge or tented camp. After a short rest, depart at 3:30 PM for your first afternoon game drive along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River.
Search for the famous Samburu Special Five—Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk—along with elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, crocodiles, and a remarkable variety of birdlife. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

Drive through the reserve's diverse habitats of riverine forests, acacia woodland, open savannah, and rocky hills while searching for predators, elephants, and the unique northern wildlife found only in this region. Visit the Ewaso Nyiro River, where elephants, crocodiles, hippos, and numerous bird species gather throughout the day.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the reserve before continuing your afternoon safari.
An optional visit to a traditional Samburu village can be arranged to experience the customs, dances, and rich culture of the Samburu people (additional cost).
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

- Transport in a customized 4×4 safari Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for game viewing and photography.
- Services of a professional English-speaking safari driver/guide.
- Pick-up and drop-off from Nairobi hotel, residence, airport, or agreed location.
- Accommodation as specified in the itinerary (double/twin sharing basis).
- Meals on Full Board basis (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) while on safari.
- All scheduled game drives as per the itinerary.
