Itinerary Overview

Samburu is known for its northern Kenya wilderness and rare wildlife experiences, Lake Nakuru is a celebrated wildlife haven with exceptional birdlife and rhinos, Lake Naivasha is famous for boat safaris and hippo viewing, and the Maasai Mara is world-renowned for the Big Five and the Great Migration.
Travel Itinerary
Depart Nairobi after breakfast and drive north through the scenic highlands toward Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp, followed by an afternoon game drive in this striking wilderness known for its rugged landscapes and unique wildlife. Keep watch for elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and Samburu’s special species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Spend the day exploring Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve offers excellent opportunities to spot wildlife along the Ewaso Nyiro River, which attracts animals throughout the day. Enjoy a relaxed safari rhythm, with time to soak in the raw beauty of northern Kenya. All meals and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.
After breakfast, depart Samburu and travel to the cool, forested highlands of Aberdares. Arrive in time for lunch, then spend the afternoon at leisure or enjoy viewing wildlife from the lodge, depending on the accommodation style. Aberdares offers a refreshing contrast to the open plains, with dense forests, moorlands, waterfalls, and the possibility of seeing forest elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and monkeys. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
