Travel Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Gondar
Arrive in the historic city of Gondar, known for its castles and royal heritage. Meet your guide and prepare for the trek ahead.
Overnight: Hotel in Gondar
Drive from Gondar to Debark for park registration and permits. Continue to the Simien Mountains and begin trekking from Buyit Ras to Sankaber, enjoying your first views of the escarpments.
Overnight: Sankaber Camp
Trek through dramatic landscapes and villages, crossing the beautiful Jinbar River area with its waterfall viewpoint. Continue to the peaceful highland plateau of Geech.
Overnight: Geech Camp (only night in Geech)

About the Operator
I was born and raised in the shadow of the Simien Mountains, where as a boy, I would watch foreign travelers pass through our village with a sense of wonder. They came seeking something magical – and I realized I held the key to showing them the Ethiopia I knew and loved.
What began as showing visitors around my hometown has grown into a passion for sharing the authentic soul of Ethiopia – from the misty peaks of the Simiens to the ancient churches of Lalibela.
